Hey BYP Network,
It's week five of lockdown here in the UK and we're starting to feel a shift. Whilst we're all craving a return to normality, it's clear that things aren't going to be the same again for a while. Huge brands like Primark have gone from making £650m a month to making £0, offline events are being cancelled around the world and we've come to the realisation that all those meetings really could have been emails all along. The truth is, this pandemic has changed the way we work and it's made us realise that now, more than ever, we need to be prepared for the digital revolution. So, how can we play our part in getting our members ready?
We've hosted a number of Instagram Lives in which we've discussed everything from global health and the economy to wellness and career advice. With our next Instagram Live all about strategy and innovation with Daniella Genas, I've personally been thinking about how to add value to the work we're doing in this current climate. It's this reason why I'll be hosting a webinar on April 30th for those who want to launch and grow an online business. Whether you want to start a side hustle, find a way to diversify your streams of income or just want to get a business idea off the ground, I'll be sharing my five steps for growing and launching a business.
I founded BYP Network three years ago, with the aim of making it a solution for black professionals struggling to find and connect with each other around the world. This experience has taught me so much, things I wish I'd known before I started. What started as an idea in my bedroom has since grown to become a revenue-generating business and a global network of over 40,000 members in 65 countries. I've grown BYP to include a digital platform, a podcast, job board, mentorship and ambassador programme. We're the company that hosted one of the largest leadership conferences in the UK with over fifty senior-level speakers, we've established partnerships with the likes of Facebook, Soho House and Accenture, and obtained over £200,000 in investment. I've been fortunate to speak on big stages such as Startup Grind and been named in Forbes 30 Under 30. I couldn't have expected such rapid growth, but there is a blueprint to starting and growing a business, and I've learnt a wealth about entrepreneurship over the years. Now, I want to share my knowledge and experience with you.
For this webinar, we ask for a donation of £10-£20. All funds raised will go to our £10,000 fund for our at-risk black key workers. Anyone who has already donated will receive an email invite to the event, so keep an eye on your inbox. For those who cannot afford the donation fee, this webinar is free.
