How To Be A Diva At Public Speaking
Public speaking is something that doesn't come naturally to all, but at some point in our life, we've got to do it. Shola Kaye's guide, however, makes public speaking seem like the easiest thing to master!
Shola Kaye comes from an incredible background. Born in London, she went on to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, then trained to be a teacher at Merton College, Oxford. Shortly after, she moved to Atlanta and obtained a Masters degree from Emory University before working in management consulting in New York. After returning to the UK, she bid farewell to the world of corporate employment and trained instead as a life coach. Using coaching skills on herself, she worked as a supply teacher while taking singing lessons, in the hope of one day fulfilling her childhood dream of being a singer. Fast forward a few years and Shola was backing Florence and the Machine, and singing across the world.
But what's so inspiring about Shola's story is how it has influenced how she helps people. Her life experience, ups, downs, highlights, lowlights and failures have shaped how she works, and her advice does work!
Shola carefully runs through the different ways of using your voice, from adjusting your vocal quality to understanding your audience and working around them. Whether you're fed up of stuttering through sales pitches or meetings, struggling to sound assertive when making executive decisions at work, or you just want to become a personal speaker yourself, you have to read this!
And remember, it's all about being a D.I.V.A (dynamic, inspiring, valuable and authentic)!
